Two Youths Killed in Head-On Collision Between Car and Bike in Jhunjhunu

Jhunjhunu, August 2 (H.S.) – Two young men lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle on Chidawa Road in Pilani town of Jhunjhunu district. The crash was so severe that one of the bike riders was decapitated, leading to his death on the spot. The road was left blood-soaked following the incident.

The other youth suffered deep injuries all over his body. Bystanders at the scene immediately called for an ambulance and rushed him to the sub-district hospital in Chidawa. He was referred to Jhunjhunu for further treatment but succumbed to his injuries on the way.

According to Head Constable Mahavir Singh Dhaka, eyewitnesses reported that Lokesh Singh Shekhawat, a resident of Iktawarpura, was driving his car from Chidawa towards Pilani. At the same time, Mukesh (20) from Dulaniya village and Sandeep were riding their motorcycle from Pilani to Chidawa.

The accident occurred just ahead of Shridhar University in the afternoon when the car and bike collided head-on. The impact threw the bikers onto the road, and the car veered off into a nearby field.

In the collision, Sandeep was killed instantly due to a severe neck injury. Mukesh died while being taken to Jhunjhunu for treatment. Car driver Lokesh Singh sustained only minor injuries.

Lokesh Singh claimed that the bikers suddenly appeared in front of his car, leaving him no time to react and avoid the crash. Mukesh and Sandeep were daily wage labourers and both were unmarried. Mukesh had already lost his father, and is survived by his mother and one brother. Sandeep is survived by his parents and one brother. His father, Rishal Singh, works as a farmer and labourer.
