Maruti Suzuki to Raise Car Prices by Up to ₹30,000 Starting June 2026

New Delhi, May 21: India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India, announced on Thursday that it will increase the prices of its vehicles by up to ₹30,000 starting June 2026.
The company disclosed this decision in a stock exchange filing, stating that the price hike will affect all its models.
In the regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki noted, “Considering the continuous rise in input costs, the company has decided to raise prices by up to ₹30,000 for all models starting June 2026.”
The official statement highlighted that the automotive industry is facing ongoing increases in raw material and operational costs, prompting this decision.
Maruti Suzuki further mentioned that it has been actively trying to mitigate the impact of rising costs through various cost-cutting measures over the past few months.
Despite these efforts, the company found it necessary to implement a partial price increase due to the relentless rise in expenses.
To minimize the impact on customers, the company has made every possible effort.
However, the filing stated, “The pressure of inflation has significantly increased, and the environment of adverse costs persists. Therefore, the company must pass on some of the increased costs to the market while continuing to strive to keep the impact on customers to a minimum.”
The price increase will vary depending on the different models.
This announcement comes at a time when several automobile companies in India have already raised their vehicle prices due to rising raw material costs, logistics expenses, and inflationary pressures in the supply chain.
Earlier, Mahindra & Mahindra also announced a price hike for its SUV and commercial vehicle portfolio effective April 6, citing increased input and operational costs, with vehicle prices rising by up to 2.5%, while average prices would increase by about 1.6%.
