Jaipur, 15 November (Daily Kiran). Acting on directions from the ACB Headquarters, the ACB Chowki Jhunjhunu unit on Saturday caught Head Constable Santosh (Badge No. 2549), posted at Police Station Buhana, Jhunjhunu district, while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000.

Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Govind Gupta said the complaint stated that a case of mutual dispute was registered at Police Station Buhana against the complainant, his brother, and uncle. The investigation was being handled by Head Constable Santosh. She allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹30,000 to remove the names of the complainant and his brother from the case and to ensure that the complainant’s brother was not arrested.
During confidential verification of the bribery demand, the accused officer had already taken ₹3,000 on 10 November 2025 and ₹7,000 on 14 November 2025 from the complainant. Following this, a trap was laid on 15 November 2025. Head Constable Santosh accepted ₹20,000 from the complainant and kept the money in the right pocket of her sweater, from where the ACB team recovered the entire amount.
Further action was underway at the spot under the supervision of Rajesh Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ACB Jaipur Range. The trap was executed by Shabbir Khan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB Jhunjhunu, along with his team. Additional DGP ACB Smita Srivastava is supervising the questioning and other proceedings. A case will be registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation will be carried out.
