Udaipur, April 6, 2026 (Daily Kiran): Students enrolled under Hindustan Zinc’s Shiksha Sambal programme have recorded excellent results in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations declared by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.

Currently, more than 13,000 students from Classes 6 to 12 are benefiting from the programme.
In the recently declared Class 10 results, 92.53 percent students passed, out of which 39 percent secured first division. Out of 76 government schools covered under the programme, 37 recorded 100 percent results. Among the achievers, 137 girl students scored 75 percent or above, making them eligible for the Gargi Award, a prestigious recognition for academic excellence among girls in Rajasthan.
Similarly, in the Class 12 board results, 99.43 percent students passed, with 86.36 percent securing first division.
Since the launch of the Shiksha Sambal programme in the financial year 2016, the overall pass percentage has increased from 67 percent to 92.53 percent, marking a rise of 38 percent. The percentage of students securing first division in Class 10 has also improved significantly from 14 percent in 2016 to 39 percent at present.
Under this programme, Hindustan Zinc provides additional teachers, learning materials, and academic support in subjects such as Science, Mathematics, and English in government schools. The initiative is designed to strengthen learning outcomes and improve academic performance among students from underprivileged communities.
To further enhance the learning experience, the programme promotes conceptual clarity and experiential learning through focused academic interventions. Recently, Hindustan Zinc has also set up four immersive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) labs in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand to make classrooms more interactive, engaging, technology-enabled, and innovation-driven.
Launched in 2016, the Shiksha Sambal programme is one of the key education initiatives of Hindustan Zinc. Implemented in partnership with Vidya Bhawan, the programme has established a strong academic support system for students from Classes 6 to 12 and has also strengthened community engagement.
At present, the initiative is being implemented across six districts where the company operates — Udaipur, Salumber, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, and Ajmer.
