Madhya Pradesh Wrestler Priyanshi Returns Home Safely Amid Conflict

Bhopal, March 5: A significant number of Indians remain stranded in Gulf countries due to the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Among them was Priyanshi Prajapat, a wrestler from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, who has now returned home safely. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav connected with her via video call to check on her well-being.

Chief Minister Yadav made high-level efforts to ensure the safe return of Priyanshi, who had traveled to Tirana, Albania, to participate in the World Wrestling Championship Ranking Series. Thanks to these efforts, she is now back in India.

The Chief Minister congratulated Priyanshi for her outstanding performance and silver medal win. He also spoke with her family in Ujjain through video call. Priyanshi’s father expressed gratitude for the support provided by Chief Minister Yadav.

During the World Wrestling Championship held from February 24 to 28 in Albania, Priyanshi secured her victory on February 26. She showcased an impressive performance by defeating wrestlers from Kazakhstan, the USA, and Albania. Last year, she also brought glory to her country and state by winning a gold medal at the Asian Series.

Due to rising tensions in the Middle East, Priyanshi and her fellow athletes found themselves stranded. Throughout this challenging period, Chief Minister Yadav ensured that all necessary resources were made available for their safe return.

The Chief Minister has always treated them with affection and support, akin to that of a daughter. Previously, when he was the president of the Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association, he had provided financial assistance of 200,000 rupees.
