
Darbhanga, May 19: A tragic incident unfolded in Darbhanga district, Bihar, where a man brutally murdered his wife and three children. The shocking event has sent ripples of fear throughout the community. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.
According to a police officer, the incident occurred in the Chandanpatti area of the Pator police station jurisdiction. In a fit of rage during a domestic dispute, the accused, identified as Sandeep Das, attacked his wife and children. After committing the heinous act, he also inflicted injuries on himself. He has been hospitalized, and his condition is reported to be stable.
Sandeep Das, a resident of Dalkola in West Bengal, worked at a poultry farm in Chandanpatti with his wife, Phool Kumari Das, aged 30, and their children. Reports indicate that Sandeep frequently quarreled with his wife.
On the early morning of the incident, an argument escalated, leading Sandeep to violently assault his wife and three children with a stick and a rod. Tragically, his wife and two children died at the scene, while the third child succumbed to injuries at DMCH.
After the attack, Sandeep attempted to take his own life and was admitted to Darbhanga Medical College.
Chandra Bhushan Kumar, the officer in charge of Pator police station, stated that the police responded promptly to the incident and have begun their investigation. All bodies have been taken into custody for post-mortem examinations, and a forensic team has been called to the scene. The motives behind this tragic event remain unclear.
