Chhatra Railway Line Project Accelerated by MP Kalicharan Singh

Mumbai, May 29: In Chhatra, Jharkhand, BJP MP Kalicharan Singh announced that work on the railway connectivity project will soon commence following its approval. He noted that the railway line has been a long-standing topic of discussion, but now the notification for the Chhatra-Gaya railway line has been officially issued.

MP Kalicharan Singh emphasized that Prime Minister Modi, considering the sentiments of Chhatra residents, has instructed Ashwini Vaishnaw to ensure that the 75-kilometer railway line becomes a reality. He expressed pride in this significant development, marking it as the second major project in his Lok Sabha constituency. Additionally, he mentioned that the notification for the Chirimi railway line project has also been released.

The MP stated that the Chhatra-Gaya railway line has been granted special status, with ₹531 crores allocated for the project. The land acquisition process will be expedited, and any challenges will be addressed promptly.

He further added that there are 4-5 major projects in the Chhatra Lok Sabha area, each specific to different assembly segments. Within the next two to three months, the issues related to flyovers will also be resolved, moving towards the tendering phase.

The Paraiya-Chhatra new railway line project is a crucial initiative connecting Bihar and Jharkhand. It has been officially designated as a ‘special railway project’ by the Ministry of Railways. This development fulfills a demand that has persisted for nearly 75 to 78 years among the residents of Chhatra district. The total length of the railway line will be 75.1 kilometers.
