Koderma, May 29: A newlywed woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Bagdo village, located in the Domchanch police station area of Koderma district, Jharkhand. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Kajal Khatoon, who had married Ayan Ansari approximately two months ago.
Family members of the deceased have accused her husband and in-laws of murder, leading to a significant uproar. Following the incident, all members of the in-laws’ family, including the husband, have gone missing. Reports indicate that on Friday morning, Kajal’s husband called her family to inform them that her health had suddenly deteriorated.
Upon receiving the call, Kajal’s family rushed to her in-laws’ home. Upon arrival, they discovered Kajal’s body lying on the bed in a room, while no family members were present in the house. The Domchanch police were alerted and arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.
The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. Kajal’s relatives have vehemently accused her in-laws of murder, claiming that she had been subjected to harassment since her marriage. In light of the serious nature of the case, Koderma SDPO Pramod Keshari also visited the site to assess the situation.
He assured the deceased’s family of a fair investigation. Police officials stated that the actual cause of death would be clarified once the post-mortem report is available. Currently, law enforcement is actively searching for the missing husband and other in-laws. Tension has escalated in the village and surrounding areas regarding this incident. The police have assured that all aspects will be considered during the investigation.
