AAP Secures Stunning Victory in Barnala Municipal Corporation Elections

Mumbai, May 29: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has achieved a remarkable victory in the Barnala Municipal Corporation elections, winning 36 out of 50 wards. This decisive win solidifies AAP’s control over the municipal body.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) followed in second place, securing 7 seats. In contrast, major political parties like Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal faced significant defeats. Congress managed to win only 2 seats, while the Akali Dal failed to secure any seats at all. Additionally, independent candidates performed well, winning in 5 wards.

These results clearly indicate AAP’s dominance among urban voters in Barnala. For the Akali Dal and Congress, these outcomes are a cause for concern, while the BJP has made its presence felt with its 7 victories.

Speaking about this impressive win, AAP’s local in-charge, Harinder Dhaliwal, stated that the people of Barnala have endorsed the party’s work. He emphasized that under the leadership of MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, AAP candidates worked diligently to inform residents about the party’s policies and government initiatives.

Dhaliwal noted that the electorate has given a clear mandate in favor of AAP, reflecting on the party’s accomplishments over the past four and a half years. He also mentioned that the selection of the mayor will be determined by the party’s high command following these elections.

After this significant victory in the local municipal elections, Harinder Singh Dhaliwal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the voters and party workers in Barnala. In discussions with journalists, he remarked that the people have once again shown their trust in AAP’s “politics of work,” leading to a substantial win. This marks a historic moment, as it will be the first time AAP will have a mayor in Barnala, creating a new chapter in the city’s history.

Dhaliwal praised the grassroots workers, highlighting their relentless efforts during the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. He specifically acknowledged the local MP for engaging in door-to-door campaigning, a level of dedication rarely seen in Barnala’s political landscape. He credited the hard work of district presidents, chairpersons, block presidents, and every supporter for achieving this milestone.
