The incident took place at a spa centre named ‘Khota-Sikka’ located on the third floor of Riddhi-Siddhi Plaza Complex near Gangapur Chauraha. The deceased has been identified as Suraj (25), son of Ramchandra, a resident of Maujgarh Khuiyan Sarwar in Firozpur district of Punjab.

According to police, the man used an electric wire to make a noose and hanged himself from a ceiling fan inside a room of the spa centre. However, due to excessive weight or tension, the fan and wire broke, causing the body to fall onto the bed.

ASI Meena Chaudhary from Gandhinagar police station said that the police received information about the incident on Tuesday afternoon. When the police team reached the spot, the body was found lying on a bed in a room on the second floor of the centre.

As per initial investigation, the man had locked himself inside the room. When he did not come out for a long time, staff members informed the manager. After getting no response, police were alerted. The door was later broken open, and the body was recovered.

The body has been kept in the mortuary, and the deceased’s family has been informed. The postmortem will be conducted after the family members arrive in Bhilwara.

During a search, police recovered a mobile phone and a wallet from the deceased. Based on the Aadhaar card found in the wallet, his identity was confirmed. Police said that Suraj had been working as a manager at the spa centre for the past one month.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot, and the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
