As a child artist, Sarika played male roles in several films. As she grew older, she transitioned to leading roles, gaining recognition for her performance in the film “Geet Gaata Chal.” She starred in numerous notable films, including “Aashirwad,” “Chhoti Bahu,” “Zid,” “Vandana,” “Grih Pravesh,” and “Khushboo,” becoming a beloved figure for her simplicity.
Her personal life also attracted attention, particularly her relationship with actor Kamal Haasan. The couple lived together for many years before marrying. They have two daughters: Shruti Haasan, a well-known name in the film industry, and Akshara Haasan. Shruti was born before their marriage, followed by Akshara. Sarika and Kamal Haasan married in 1988 but separated in 2004.
