
New Delhi, June 2: The Congress Party has taken a significant step towards strengthening its organization in Tripura by announcing new appointments for the District Congress Committees (DCC).
According to a press release issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the Congress President has approved the proposal for appointing DCC presidents across various districts in Tripura with immediate effect.
These appointments are part of the Organization Creation Campaign. Under this initiative, AICC observers assigned to each district conducted thorough reviews, engaged in discussions with party officials and other stakeholders, and submitted detailed reports to the leadership.
Following the receipt of these reports, Congress leadership held separate meetings and discussions with each observer and senior leaders. Based on this process, the names of the new district presidents were finalized.
The announced list includes Jacob Rokhum for the Ambassa district, Shampa Dutta for Belonia, Gopinath Saha for Bishalgarh, Nirupam De for Dharmanagar, and M.D. Badruzzaman for Kailashahar, with Satyaban Das appointed as the Executive President.
Tanmay Roy (Working President) for the Sadar district, Roshan Ali for Sonamura, Prodyot Bhattacharya for Teliamura, and Than Paul for Udaipur are also included in the list.
The Congress leadership believes that these new appointments will play a crucial role in further strengthening the organization at the grassroots level in Tripura. The party expects that the new district presidents will contribute to organizing workers, enhancing public outreach, and effectively addressing upcoming political challenges.
The Congress has clarified that through the Organization Creation Campaign, it is continuously working to strengthen its organizational structure across the country and to empower local leadership with greater responsibilities.
