San Francisco, 21 September (Kiran News). Meta appears to have accidentally revealed its upcoming Ray-Ban smart glasses with a built-in HUD (Head-Up Display) after a video surfaced on YouTube. The clip, which has since been removed, showcased the new device paired with Meta’s sEMG wristband for control.

Features at a Glance
The upcoming model, reportedly called the Meta Ray-Ban Display, will feature a fixed HUD visible only to the right eye. Unlike AR glasses, it does not integrate visuals into the real world. Instead, the HUD provides continuous access to Meta AI, messaging, navigation, and other tools.
Weight: Around 70g (compared to 50g for current Meta Ray-Ban glasses without a display)
Price: Expected to launch at $800, according to Mark Gurman
Design: Slightly bulkier frames compared to previous Ray-Ban Meta models
Controls: Paired with Meta’s new sEMG wristband, which reads electrical signals from forearm muscles to track finger movements and enable interaction
The video also showed the new glasses alongside Meta’s other models, including the regular Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta HSTN, and the still-unofficial Oakley Meta Sphaera glasses.
The sEMG band appears to be an advanced version of Meta’s earlier Neural band project, enhancing gesture-based control.
Possible Reveal at Meta Connect 2025
Meta’s annual conference, Meta Connect 2025, begins today. Industry watchers expect the Ray-Ban Display glasses to be formally unveiled during the event—or in the days immediately following.
