Washington, May 20: President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that approximately $18 trillion in investment is set to flow into the United States, predicting an unprecedented surge in the manufacturing sector.
During a press briefing at the White House, Trump stated that the U.S. economy is entering a new phase of rapid growth. He remarked, “We are seeing $18 trillion in investment, something no other country has ever experienced.”
Using the automobile industry as an example, Trump highlighted that companies from Germany, South Korea, and Japan are investing billions in the U.S. and establishing new plants.
He noted, “Car manufacturers from Germany, South Korea, and Japan are coming here and setting up large-scale plants. This work is already underway.”
According to Trump, foreign companies are relocating their production to gain access to the American market. He explained, “They want to come here because they need to sell their products in our market.”
The President asserted that the U.S. will witness economic changes in the coming years that many could not even imagine.
“You will see things that no one has ever thought of. In the next three years, there will be many remarkable changes in the country,” he added.
Trump made these statements while emphasizing his economic policies focused on trade, tariffs, and domestic manufacturing. Throughout the discussion, he repeatedly referenced economic issues and industrial development, even when asked about foreign policy.
He claimed that confidence in the U.S. economy is rising globally and that economic indicators are “extremely impressive.”
During the briefing, Trump also criticized California’s electoral system, labeling it “fraudulent” and one of the “most dishonest systems.”
He asserted that the voting system in California disadvantages the Republican Party, stating, “Republicans have to call it out. It’s a completely fraudulent system.”
