Warsaw, May 7: Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Watch 6 and Redmi Watch 6 NFC outside of China, months after their initial release in October. The international rollout currently includes Poland, Romania, and Thailand, with the NFC model available exclusively in Poland for now.
The Redmi Watch 6 boasts a 2.07-inch AMOLED display featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 324ppi. With 2mm symmetrical bezels and an 82% screen-to-body ratio, Xiaomi claims the display can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 2,000 nits, enhancing visibility in outdoor settings. The smartwatch also supports an always-on display and a raise-to-wake feature.
Designed with a 9.9mm body, the watch utilizes a unibody construction with an aluminum alloy frame. It is 1.4mm slimmer than its predecessor, featuring a 20% increase in Vickers hardness and a 40% improvement in yield point. The design includes a raised stainless steel dial and an additional physical button, which can open the control center, access the shutdown or restart menu, and trigger an emergency contact shortcut with three presses.
Battery life is a standout feature of the Redmi Watch 6. It is equipped with a 550mAh battery that can last up to 24 days with light use, 12 days with normal use, and seven days under intensive use. Additionally, it includes a linear motor with over 20 vibration patterns for alarms, notifications, fitness alerts, and health updates.
For fitness enthusiasts, the watch supports more than 150 sports modes, is rated 5ATM for water resistance, and features independent GNSS. The GNSS setup employs dual L1 antennas and supports five systems to enhance positioning accuracy. Xiaomi states that the watch can automatically select the antenna with the strongest signal based on how it is worn.
Health monitoring capabilities include 24/7 heart rate tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, stress tracking, sleep analysis, breathing exercises, abnormal heart rate alerts, low blood oxygen vibration alerts, and women’s health management. The Redmi Watch 6 NFC variant also supports contactless payments via Mastercard and Visa.
Pricing & Availability
Prices for the standard model start at PLN 449, RON 519, and THB 3,190, while the NFC version is priced at PLN 499 in Poland.
