
Mumbai, May 7: Honor has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Honor Play 70C, alongside the Honor Play 80 Plus. This new device is designed for the entry-level market, offering essential features at an affordable price.
The Honor Play 70C starts at 599 yuan (approximately $90) for the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There are also two additional configurations available: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at 699 yuan, and a 6GB RAM version with 128GB storage for 799 yuan.

For its price, the Honor Play 70C boasts a 6.75-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels. The screen features a waterdrop notch that accommodates a 5MP front camera, which meets expectations for a budget device.
On the rear, the smartphone is equipped with a single 13MP main camera that can record 1080p video and supports up to 10x digital zoom.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, combined with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is supported by a robust 5,300mAh battery.
Running on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0, the Play 70C offers various connectivity options, including dual SIM 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Honor provides the Play 70C in several color choices, including Midnight Black, Moonlight Silver, and Ocean Blue (also known as Ink Rock Black, Moonlit Silver, and Lake Blue in some listings). The device is slim at just 7.89mm thick and weighs 186 grams.
While the Honor Play 80 Plus offers a larger 7,500mAh battery and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, the Play 70C focuses on delivering essential features, solid battery life, and satisfactory performance for budget-conscious consumers.
