
Patna, May 20: The Bihar government is making continuous efforts to enhance law and order in the state. In this context, the government has transferred five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and eight Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).
The Home Department of Bihar has issued a notification regarding these changes. Rajesh Kumar, the Superintendent of Police in Nawgachia, has been assigned to lead the Cyber Research and Operations, Economic Offenses Unit in Patna. Vaibhav Sharma has been appointed as the new SP of Nawgachia.
Anand Kumar, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for Law and Order in Patna, has been given the additional responsibility of DIG for Security while retaining his current role. Aditya Kumar, the SP of the Crime Investigation Department, will now oversee the Bihar Special Armed Force 14.
Additionally, Gaurav Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Patna City, has been reassigned, and Anupesh Narayan, the DSP from Purnia, will now serve in Supaul. Vikas Kumar, the DSP from the Crime Investigation Department in Patna, is now assigned to the Special Task Force in Jehanabad, while Gopal Krishna, the DSP for Cyber Crime, will take on the role of SDPO in Mohania, Kaimur.
Furthermore, Kaushal Kishore Kamal, the Traffic DSP from Purnia, has been transferred to the Crime Investigation Department in Patna. Ranjan Kumar Singh, previously serving as a DSP in the Crime Investigation Department in Patna, has been appointed as the Traffic DSP in Purnia.
Suresh Prasad Ram, the DSP of the Economic Offenses Unit, has been designated as the DSP of the Special Monitoring Department, while Krishna Kumar Gupta from the Crime Investigation Department has also been assigned to the Special Monitoring role. This is part of a larger trend of significant transfers among IPS officers in recent times.
