Alwar, September 4 (Kiran News): Police in Alwar have arrested two persons in connection with an alleged religious conversion case. The arrests were made after a raid at a hostel in Goleta village, around 8 km from Alwar city, where children were reportedly being influenced under the guise of education.

The main accused, identified as Amrit from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, told police that he converted to Christianity in 1999 and has since been engaged in promoting the faith. He claimed the hostel, housing about 50 children from Delhi, Hanumangarh, and nearby areas of Alwar, is run by an NGO, which also funds the operations. According to police, Amrit admitted that his own children study in an expensive school in Dehradun.
The second accused has been identified as Sonu Raisikh from Ramgarh, Alwar district. Police seized religious books and materials related to Christianity from the hostel during the raid.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudhir Chaudhary said Amrit was earlier arrested in a similar case in Sikar and had been released on bail two months ago. He confirmed that Amrit has prior cases registered against him. The Alwar police will seek cancellation of his bail after consultation with Sikar police.
SP Chaudhary further appealed to the public to report such incidents directly to the police on helpline number 8764502201, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept confidential. He added that an investigation is underway to trace the funding sources of the NGO, the extent of its network in Alwar, and identify other individuals involved.
The case was registered following a complaint by Hindu organisation leader Vijendra Khandelwal. Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal also reached the spot during the raid, raising slogans and demanding strict action against the accused.
