Jaipur, October 14 (Daily Kiran): In a remarkable display of courage and compassion, Rajasthan Police Constable Hazarilal risked his life to rescue a four-year-old girl trapped inside a locked house in Alwar city. The daring operation, carried out late Monday night, has been hailed as an extraordinary example of service, sensitivity, and bravery by the state police.

Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma praised the swift and courageous response of the police team, calling it “a living example of the Rajasthan Police’s commitment to service, empathy, and dedication.”
The Incident
According to Alwar SP Sudhir Chaudhary, the incident took place in the narrow lanes of Alwar city, where locals heard the cries of a little girl trapped inside the first floor of a locked house belonging to Nisha Rajput. The frightened child, identified as Nidhi Rathore, was alone in the dark after the electricity went out.
Upon receiving the alert, Station House Officer (SHO) Vijaypal Singh immediately led a team to the site.
Risking His Life Among Live Wires
The police found that the house was completely locked from all sides and that the terrified child had no way out. The officers managed to calm her down and guide her towards a small window on the first floor.
With no proper equipment or safety gear, Constable Hazarilal (Belt No. 1594) climbed a 30-foot ladder, navigating through live electric wires, to reach the window. For nearly 25 minutes, he continuously reassured the crying child, earning her trust before safely pulling her out.
Holding the child with one arm and maintaining his balance with the other, he carefully descended the ladder and handed her over to her mother, Nisha Devi, who tearfully thanked the police for saving her daughter.
Nisha later shared that her husband had passed away earlier this year and that she works as a vegetable vendor, leaving her child alone at home during the day.
DGP Commends Police Heroism
DGP Rajeev Kumar Sharma commended the Alwar police team, especially Constable Hazarilal, for their brave and humane effort.
“This rescue operation reflects the true spirit of Rajasthan Police — not just as protectors of law, but as guardians of society,” he said.
The heroic act has earned widespread appreciation across the state, with citizens lauding the Rajasthan Police for their quick thinking, sensitivity, and selfless dedication to public service.
