
Chandigarh, June 3: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for young individuals eager to kickstart their professional careers with a government institution. The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has released an official notification announcing the recruitment of 20 apprentice positions across various trades for a duration of one year.
These appointments will be made under the O&M Division of BBMB, located in Jamalpur (Ludhiana), for the year 2026-27.
Among the 20 vacancies announced by BBMB, there are 15 positions for Linemen, 3 for Electricians, and 2 for Gardeners. The online application process commenced on May 20, and the deadline for applications is set for June 11.
Eligible and interested candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official NAPS portal before or by the specified deadline.
Candidates applying for the ITI Trade Apprentice positions (Linemen and Electricians) must have passed the 10th grade examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks. Additionally, applicants should possess a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or the State Council for Vocational Training. They must have completed the corresponding ITI course.
For the Non-ITI Trade Apprentice position (Gardener), candidates must have passed the 8th grade examination from a recognized school or possess equivalent qualifications.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on merit, shortlisting, and document verification. The minimum and maximum age of applicants will adhere to the Apprentices Act of 1961 and its amendments. However, the notification does not specify the age limits.
