Traffic Officers Bravery Shines as He Foils Mobile Theft in Noida

Noida, June 3: A traffic officer from the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has showcased remarkable courage and dedication, earning widespread praise. Traffic Sub-Inspector (TSI) Ramesh Pawar was on duty at the Sector 37 intersection when he pursued a mobile thief who snatched a phone from a passenger on a moving bus.

On Wednesday, while managing traffic, TSI Pawar received information about the theft. Without hesitation, he sprang into action and chased the suspect. During the pursuit, the thief attempted to escape, but TSI Pawar demonstrated exceptional bravery and intelligence, successfully apprehending him.

In the process, TSI Pawar sustained serious injuries, including a fracture in one finger and other wounds to his hand. Despite his injuries, he did not give up and managed to hand over the suspect to the Sector 39 police station. Following the incident, TSI Pawar was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

His courageous act has been commended by police officials and colleagues alike. Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh praised TSI Pawar’s bravery, commitment, and exemplary policing spirit. He was honored with a cash reward of ₹5,100 for his actions.

The Commissioner stated that officers like Pawar serve as an inspiration to the entire department. Their readiness and courage not only help in apprehending criminals but also strengthen public trust in the police.
