Rahul Gandhi Should Avoid Politics on CBSE Issues: Deputy CM Vijay Sharma

Raipur, June 3: Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma has responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statements regarding the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Sharma emphasized that such issues should not be politicized.

Gandhi had raised concerns about the central government’s actions and transfers related to the CBSE, suggesting that if the Prime Minister truly cared for the 1.85 million CBSE students, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would have been removed long ago.

In response, Sharma stated that Gandhi always seems to target someone, which is why he makes such comments. He clarified that the changes were made under the directives of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Necessary reforms for better administration and governance should be implemented, and he expressed confusion over why these issues are politicized.

On the topic of ‘One Nation, One Election,’ Sharma supported the idea, stating that continuous elections keep the administrative machinery busy. He noted that the efforts in this direction are only possible under the Modi government, which has made significant decisions such as revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, constructing the Ram Temple, discussing women’s reservation, abolishing triple talaq, and implementing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He believes that just as previous goals were achieved, this objective will also be fulfilled.

Responding to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s comment that singing the full version of ‘Vande Mataram’ is not necessary at government events, Sharma retorted that Tharoor should first memorize it. He suggested that if Tharoor struggles with the correct pronunciation or memory, he should refrain from making such remarks. Sharma stressed the importance of understanding the context in which the song was previously shortened, leading to the decision to sing it in full.

Regarding reports of alleged terrorist links between Hamas and Pakistan, Sharma acknowledged public suspicions about their involvement. He stated that evidence has now clarified Pakistan’s role in these matters, and the country must face the consequences of its actions. He assured that any future attempts would be met with a strong response from the Modi government.
