When the police surrounded them, the criminals opened fire. In the retaliatory action, accused Deepak Yadav alias Raka was shot in the leg and arrested. The search for the other accused continues.
Aman Yadav, a BSc Agriculture fourth-semester student from Sadha Pur village in the Chanda area, was abducted and brutally killed on Saturday night. The post-mortem report confirmed severe head injuries, a broken jaw, and a ruptured right eye. A panel of two doctors conducted the post-mortem late Sunday evening. The last rites of Aman will be performed today.

Aman Yadav, aged 21, was the only son of Ramashankar Yadav. On Saturday night, Aman went to pick up his cousin Sandeep Yadav near the underflyover in Isipur. Aman called Sandeep, but the call was not answered. Later, Sandeep tried calling Aman several times but got no response, and then the phone was switched off.
When Sandeep reached home and Aman was missing, the family started searching for him. Aman’s bike was found near the Isipur flyover. Locals reported seeing some people forcibly taking Aman away in an Ertiga car after beating him. The accused allegedly assaulted and killed Aman at Parasnath Inter College in Safipur and then threw the body into the Gomti river near Ibrahimpur.
