Asansol, May 17: Agnimitra Paul, a minister from West Bengal, attended a gathering in Mohishila, Asansol, aimed at thanking voters and supporters following the BJP’s government formation. During the event, Paul launched a scathing attack on the TMC and its leaders.
Speaking to the media, Paul addressed claims that the arrival of the BJP government would halt the supply of fish and chicken in the state. He pointed out that anyone can now enjoy fish and rice at the Maa Canteen, which is open to people of all faiths.
He also mentioned that various leaders and ministers involved in fraudulent activities with different types of cards would face scrutiny, ensuring accountability.
Referring to TMC leader Jahangir Khan, Paul remarked on his statement, “Pushpa won’t bend.” He noted that Jahangir has received a notice but is nowhere to be found, suggesting he may be hiding. Paul likened him to other leaders who have vanished, implying that he might be hiding in a mouse hole. With Suvendu Adhikari now in charge, he emphasized that such dialogues are best left for cinema.
Paul expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people of Bengal, stating that it has increased their responsibility. He assured that they have been present for the public since day one. He added that Mamata Banerjee will never be forgiven by the people who once supported her, and she too will face consequences.
He addressed the rising oil prices due to the war, urging everyone to cooperate and encouraging increased use of public transport. He noted that Prime Minister Modi has also reduced the number of vehicles in his convoy.
In addition to the gathering, Paul met with local residents to listen to their concerns and instructed officials to promptly address the issues raised.
