New Delhi, April 1: The opposition has been relentlessly targeting the government over the ongoing LPG shortage in the country. They accuse the government of misleading the public instead of addressing their issues.
Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav stated, “The government claims there is no shortage of gas or petrol-diesel. If officials interacted with the public, they would realize the actual situation. They seem accustomed to speaking in the air, which is detrimental to the country. Hotels and petrol pumps are shutting down, yet the government remains oblivious.”
He added that in Delhi, people are now seeking permission to burn coal, marking an unprecedented low for the nation. Despite this, the government shows no concern for resolving the public’s issues. People are beginning to migrate, and the country’s condition is deteriorating rapidly.
Ram Gopal Yadav further remarked, “Every bill this government introduces will be against the interests of the public. All previous bills have favored a few capitalists and select individuals. Not a single bill has been introduced for the common people. Today, the Home Minister will respond to the CAPF Regulation Bill.”
Congress MP Rajiv Rai commented, “When international petroleum prices hit rock bottom, the government took advantage and raised excise duties. This government thrives on finding opportunities in crises. They will exploit this disaster for their gain.”
Congress MP Rajni Patil expressed concern over the increase in commercial LPG prices, noting, “Before the rise in commercial cylinder prices, domestic cylinder prices had already increased. Our leader Rahul Gandhi has been warning about an impending crisis. This will impact households, and the government needs to take action.”
Congress MP Pramod Tiwari stated, “While domestic prices affect individual households, commercial prices impact society as a whole. Daily wage earners and those who earn their living daily are affected… Street vendors have also raised their prices. Only three months have passed this year; how much more will this government exploit?”
Congress MP Rajiv Shukla remarked, “This is a significant increase. It will affect all students and small industries. Everything will become more expensive, causing immense hardship for the public.”
