Beijing, June 5: The third World Sinologist Conference is taking place in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China. Over 300 representatives from nearly 70 countries are discussing topics such as the integration of Chinese and foreign civilizations. Sinologists from around the globe are also gaining a deeper understanding of China through various tours and experiential activities.
During the opening ceremony, French Sinologist Gurney shared her relationship with China and introduced the “Law on the Return of Cultural Heritage,” which was implemented in France this May to simplify the process of returning cultural relics.
Attendees emphasized that the wisdom embedded in Chinese civilization, such as “All under heaven are one family” and “Harmony and coexistence,” offers crucial lessons for addressing current global challenges.
An official from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee stated that global civilizational divisions are increasingly emerging. China is ready to collaborate with all parties to explore ways to gather knowledge from both Chinese and foreign civilizations and achieve shared prosperity for the world.
