New Delhi, April 11: Vinod Bansal, the national spokesperson for the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), has expressed strong concerns regarding the rising anti-Hindu rhetoric in West Bengal. Speaking to a news agency, Bansal stated, “As the assembly elections approach, Hindu rebel elements and some self-proclaimed Hindus are beginning to propagate narratives akin to non-Hindus. They have reached a new low in speaking against Hindus.”
Bansal targeted Akhil Giri, a former MLA from Ramnagar and a minister in Mamata Banerjee’s government, saying, “The person representing Ramnagar is openly speaking against Ram Rajya. He claims that there is no need for Ram Rajya, as it won’t fill stomachs. By making such statements, he not only pleases his Islamic jihadists but also deeply wounds the entire Hindu community.”
He further noted that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) speaking against Ram Rajya is not a new phenomenon. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has previously shown disdain for the slogan “Jai Shri Ram” and attempted to halt religious processions. “She has played with our religious sentiments and beliefs for decades. It is time to put an end to this,” he added.
Bansal expressed concern over the situation in Bengal, stating, “Due to the hooliganism of the communists and now the TMC, infiltrators have been sheltered, undermining the identity of native Bengali citizens. Today, Hindus have been relegated to second-class citizens. Bengal is no longer a land of revered saints and brave warriors; it is becoming a battleground for jihadists.”
He urged the people of Bengal to decide on the necessary actions against such elements. “Indeed, the time has come for Bengal’s liberation. The people of Bengal are rising and are ready to curb this anti-Hindu mentality,” he emphasized.
Bansal called for the Hindu community in Bengal to unite to protect their faith, culture, and identity.
