Ahmedabad, April 25: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has urged voters to participate fully in the upcoming local body elections. This appeal comes as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) engages directly with the electorate following the conclusion of its campaign on Friday.
Patel made these remarks during a roadshow in the eastern areas of Ahmedabad, alongside state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
Speaking to the crowd, the Chief Minister noted that today marks the final day of campaigning for local elections. The BJP has been actively reaching out to the public, encouraging them to aim for 100% voter turnout.
The procession began at Shyam Shikhar Chowk and passed through various localities, including India Colony, Thakkarbapa Nagar Approach Road, Leela Nagar, Khodiyar Nagar Road, and culminated near the Khodiyar Temple on 80 Feet Road.
Karnavati Metropolitan BJP president Prerak Shah highlighted that the roadshow involved participation from senior party leaders across four wards. He further stated that this grand event is being held in the special presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
Residents, including youth, women, and the elderly, lined the streets to greet the leaders as the convoy passed by. BJP leaders expressed gratitude for the large turnout and thanked residents for their participation in the event.
Voting for the local body elections is scheduled for April 26.
