
Bhopal, May 22: Union Minister of Communications and Northeast Development, Jyotiraditya Scindia, has called on residents and supporters to heed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for energy conservation. He emphasized that in the current global scenario, saving every drop of petrol and diesel is a national responsibility.
Scindia stated that in alignment with Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, adopting simplicity, responsibility, and prudent resource use in public life is essential. He urged supporters in Bhopal and his parliamentary constituency of Guna, Shivpuri, to refrain from using petrol and diesel vehicles during his visits.
He expressed that the affection, trust, and blessings of the public are his greatest strength. Saving fuel for the nation symbolizes our sensitivity and responsibility towards our country.
Encouraging responsible citizenship, Scindia noted that collective small efforts can lead to significant changes for the nation. He shared on his Facebook page, “Dear people of the region, I humbly appeal to you. As you know, I am visiting my parliamentary constituency of Guna-Ashoknagar-Shivpuri for two days. In this period of global challenges, saving every drop of petrol and diesel is our national duty. Therefore, I kindly request that you do not use petrol and diesel vehicles during my visit. Your affection and blessings are my greatest strength. The fuel saved for the nation reflects our responsibility and sensitivity towards it. Let us all demonstrate our commitment to being responsible citizens.”
Notably, Prime Minister Modi had previously addressed a gathering at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad, urging citizens to reduce gold purchases over the next year to conserve foreign currency. He also provided various suggestions to decrease fuel consumption.
