Udaipur, 25 August (Kiran News). The 42nd District Nehru Hockey Tournament was organised under the aegis of Maharana Mewar Public School, City Palace, Udaipur, at the Vidya Bhawan sports ground.
Nine competitive teams from across the district participated in this sporting event. The inaugural match was played between PM Shri Vidyalaya, Mavli, and Government Senior Secondary School, Pai, in which PM Shri Vidyalaya Mavli emerged victorious.
The final match saw Vidya Bhawan School face off against My First Step Mavli, with Vidya Bhawan School securing the championship title.
The team from Maharana Mewar Public School, City Palace, Udaipur, delivered an impressive performance to claim third place in the tournament.
The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Laxman Salvi, Deputy District Education Officer (Physical Education, Secondary), who presented mementos and certificates of appreciation to the winning teams.
Tournament Director Siddharth Singh Rathore expressed gratitude to the guests and judges for their presence.
Satish Kumar Sharma, Honorary Director of the school, congratulated the school team for their excellent performance.
