BJP Confident of Winning Assam Elections for the Third Time: Vijay Gupta

Guwahati, May 4: The political atmosphere in Guwahati is heating up ahead of the Assam Assembly election results. Vijay Gupta, the BJP candidate from the Guwahati Central seat, expressed confidence in the party’s victory.

In an interview with a news agency, Gupta stated, “The BJP is fully confident that it will form the government for the third time in the state, and all party candidates will win by a significant margin. The blessings and support of the people will be the foundation of this victory.”

He added that the public already trusts the BJP to form the government for a consecutive third term. Based on feedback from party workers and supporters, it is clear that the BJP may secure even more seats than predicted by exit polls.

Gupta emphasized that the public understands that development is possible under BJP governance. He noted that the people of Assam are very happy, and officials have been directed to promptly address any issues that arise.

The counting process began statewide on Monday morning, following the Election Commission‘s guidelines. Strict security measures have been implemented at all counting centers to ensure that the process is fair and peaceful.

Counting is taking place at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati for five assembly constituencies within the Kamrup (Metro) district. After the arrival of counting agents from various political parties, strong rooms were opened, and the counting process commenced as per the established protocol. The entire area has been cordoned off for security, allowing entry only to authorized personnel.

Security has been heightened to unprecedented levels at all centers and strong rooms before the counting in Assam. Twenty-five companies of the Central Armed Police Forces have been deployed, along with ninety-three companies of the State Armed Police across various districts. Every activity is under strict surveillance to prevent any disturbances or untoward incidents.
