New Delhi, May 4: A devastating accident occurred in the Dinara police station area of Rohtas district, Bihar, on Monday morning. An out-of-control container truck collided with a bus and a pickup truck, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, while several others sustained serious injuries. All injured parties have been admitted to the hospital.
According to police reports, the incident took place near the Belvaiya Mathiya turn on the Ara-Mohanian National Highway. The deceased are believed to be from the same family, returning from a tilak ceremony.
It is reported that the group was returning home after participating in the tilak ceremony of Ashok Kumar’s daughter in Lodhi village, Chenari. Near the village, some passengers were disembarking from the bus, while others were unloading items from the pickup truck when the container struck them.
The collision resulted in five fatalities and approximately ten injuries. The festive atmosphere of the wedding turned into mourning following this tragic event. The deceased have been identified as Ramvrat Singh from Bhagwanpur village, the father of the bride Ashok Singh, along with Pintoo Singh, Rajneesh Kumar, and Chhotu Kumar.
The police have seized the container, but the driver fled the scene. Upon receiving news of the incident, police promptly arrived at the location. The injured were transported to the Dinara Primary Health Center, where doctors, after providing initial treatment, referred them to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram due to their serious conditions. The bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The condition of the injured individuals remains stable.
