Protests Against Irans Attack Cause Traffic Diversions in Baramulla

Baramulla, March 3: Following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei due to a joint attack by Israel and the United States, anger has erupted among his supporters worldwide. This discontent is also evident in India, where protests are taking place in various locations.

In response to the anticipated gatherings in Baramulla district, traffic diversions have been implemented on NH-44 as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, new driving routes have been established to better manage traffic flow.

Travelers heading from Baramulla to Srinagar are advised to take an alternate route via Sangrama, Putkha, Chura, Haigam, Rengi, Hamray, Sumbal, and Shalateng instead of directly using NH-44. Although this route is longer, it will help avoid crowds and traffic jams.

Similarly, a separate route has been designated for those traveling from Srinagar to Baramulla, which includes Shalateng, Sumbal, and Hamray. Vehicles heading towards Tungmarg or Gulmarg from Srinagar will also follow a different path, passing through Shalateng, Narbal, Magam, Kunzar, and finally reaching Gulmarg.

Traffic police and other personnel have been deployed at all major intersections and diversion points to ensure smooth vehicle movement. Traffic officials have been instructed to collaborate with the SDPO Pattan to address any issues promptly.

For assistance regarding the diversion plan or traffic-related inquiries, individuals can contact +91 9596767706. The public is urged to adhere to the given instructions and cooperate with law enforcement, avoiding unnecessary gatherings.
