New Delhi, February 23: Sudhanshu Trivedi, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Rajya Sabha, launched a sharp critique of the Congress party during a press conference on Monday at the AI Summit. He highlighted the stark contrast between the impressive educational capabilities of the youth showcased at the summit and the Congress party’s disgraceful behavior.

Trivedi noted that the nation is outraged by the Congress’s actions, with even coalition partners expressing their discontent. Voices within the Congress are now echoing the need for dignified conduct at international events. He condemned the party’s trivial and indecent behavior as utterly disgraceful.

He referenced former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Margaret Alva, who emphasized the importance of responsibility during international gatherings. Trivedi stated that maintaining dignity and discipline is a collective responsibility. He urged the Congress party to recognize that the public, coalition partners, and even its senior leaders are rejecting its current ideological direction.

He described the issue within Congress as a longstanding “dynastic problem.” Trivedi remarked that this issue is more about the Congress family than its leaders. He recalled a historical moment when Jawaharlal Nehru was asked if India could be called a land of snake charmers, to which he responded that it was acceptable as it satisfied tourists. This sentiment, according to Trivedi, reflects an unwillingness to embrace India’s evolving identity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, especially as the nation advances in AI.

Trivedi asserted that the remedy for Congress’s “dynastic illness” lies with the public. He expressed concern that the party and its allies are unwilling to listen to constructive criticism.

He also pointed out that Telangana’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, had previously stated that the state lacked sufficient capital for investment yet was ready to spend ₹1,000 crores for the Gandhi family and Congress. Trivedi questioned what governance model Congress has presented, contrasting it with the internationally praised Gujarat model.

He challenged Congress, which holds power in several states, including Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, to showcase their governance models. He asked, “What model has Congress presented from Karnataka? What about Himachal?”

In the context of Telangana, he noted that Congress’s political narrative is being framed differently. He concluded by stating that there is no room for doubt anymore, asserting that Congress is not only involved in anti-national activities but also harms the people in the states where it governs.
