
New Delhi, May 18: Delhi police have intensified their efforts against interstate liquor traffickers, resulting in the arrest of three individuals in two separate operations.
The first operation took place in the Chirag Delhi area, while the second occurred in Fatehpur Beri. To carry out these operations, the police formed two dedicated teams.
In the Chirag Delhi operation, Head Constable Sandeep Kumar received a tip-off about illegal liquor being transported in a gray vehicle. The information indicated that the car would pass through Chirag Delhi. Subsequently, the police set up a strategic trap. When the vehicle was signaled to stop, it failed to comply. The police acted swiftly, pursuing the vehicle and apprehending the suspect, identified as Golu (27). Officers recovered 35 cartons of liquor bottles from the car.
This operation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector Mahesh Dahiya, with a team that included Head Constables Dharmendra, Kulbir, Harkesh, Praveen Tokas, and Constable Lokesh.
In the second operation in Fatehpur Beri, two suspects were arrested while transporting liquor on a motorcycle. Police seized 15 cartons of liquor from them. The suspects have been identified as Vikas and Jatin.
According to police reports, all three suspects are currently being interrogated regarding their involvement in the case. They are believed to have been transporting illegal liquor from other states into Delhi for distribution in local areas.
