New Delhi, May 18: Tickets for the playoff matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will be available for purchase starting May 20. The official ticketing agency for the knockout stage is ‘District by Zomato,’ as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday.
As of now, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is the only team to have secured a spot in the playoffs. The remaining three slots are contested among the Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Delhi Capitals.
Tickets can be purchased through the IPL’s official website and the ‘District by Zomato’ platform. The BCCI has designed this phased ticket sales program to ensure fans have easy access to tickets, with special privileges for RuPay cardholders to book early.
RuPay credit cardholders will benefit from a 24-hour priority window starting May 20, allowing them to purchase tickets for Qualifier-1 and the Eliminator match. Qualifier-1 will take place on May 26 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, followed by the Eliminator match on May 27 at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
The priority window for Qualifier-2 and the final will open on May 22. Qualifier-2 is scheduled for May 29 in New Chandigarh, while the championship match will be held on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
After the priority period ends, general ticket sales for the first phase will commence the following day. Tickets for Qualifier-1 and the Eliminator will be available to the public from May 21, while tickets for Qualifier-2 and the final will be on sale from May 23.
This year’s playoff format gives an advantage to the winner of Qualifier-1, as both teams reaching the final will need to travel to Ahmedabad for the title match. Traditionally, Qualifier-2 is played at the same venue as the final; however, for IPL 2026, the team advancing from Qualifier-2 will also need to adapt to different conditions at a separate venue, similar to the winner of Qualifier-1.
