Mumbai, May 18: Actress Jyotika is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film ‘System,’ set to release soon on an OTT platform. The entire team is busy promoting the film, and during a promotional event in Mumbai, Jyotika discussed her character and her experiences working with the director. Actress Sonakshi Sinha was also present at the event.
In her conversation, Jyotika praised director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, noting that working with a female director was a unique and comfortable experience for her.
“I felt a different kind of ease on set. I can proudly say that working with a female director was more comfortable. Often, artists have certain thoughts they want to be portrayed accurately on screen. Ashwiny understood our perspectives and presented them effectively,” Jyotika stated.
She further elaborated on the film’s scenes, mentioning that while some could have been made more glamorous to quickly attract the audience’s attention, the director prioritized the dignity of the characters. “What I appreciated most was how respectfully both Sonakshi and I were portrayed in the film,” she added.
Jyotika also spoke about her role as a stenographer in the film. “For this character, I had to appear typing and working in front of a screen. At times, the laptop keyboard was not visible on camera, so I had to focus more on acting and conveying emotions rather than just typing,” she explained.
She continued, “In today’s world, almost everyone uses mobile phones, laptops, and other gadgets, so working on a computer was not a new experience for me. To make the character realistic, I had to pay attention to my typing speed while maintaining facial expressions.”
Jyotika mentioned that she did not require extensive preparation for this role, but she did put effort into some minor details. “The most crucial aspect of this character was to portray emotions accurately,” she concluded.
The film ‘System’ is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 22.
