
Beijing, May 18: On May 18, 2026, China released a white paper detailing the development of the Beidou spatial-temporal industry.
The Beidou spatial-temporal industry is centered around the Beidou satellite navigation system and encompasses a comprehensive industrial framework. This includes technologies such as remote sensing, geographic information, mobile communication, and indoor positioning.
This inaugural white paper provides a thorough summary of the overall status of the Beidou spatial-temporal industry in China for the year 2025. The total production value of this industry reached 1.332 trillion yuan, with the satellite navigation sector contributing 629 billion yuan—a 9.24% increase compared to 2024. The Beidou spatial-temporal industry has now entered a new phase of high-quality development.
To date, China has successfully established a complete industrial and supply chain for the Beidou spatial-temporal industry, ranging from chips, modules, antennas, and terminals to system integration and application services. The level of autonomous control is continuously improving.
Recent statistics indicate that in 2025, the total sales of Beidou-related terminal products exceeded 41 million units. The overall availability of various terminal products equipped with the Beidou system in society has surpassed 2.2 billion units.
Currently, the Beidou system is fully integrated into the construction of national critical infrastructure, including communication, electricity, and transportation.
