Washington, December 9. Gasoline prices in the United States have fallen to their lowest level in over four and a half years. Recent data shows prices are steadily declining across most parts of the country. The White House said this drop is the result of its ‘American Energy Dominance’ policies.

According to the latest survey by GasBuddy, the White House stated on Monday, “The national average price for regular gas is at its lowest point in 1,681 days and continues to fall.”

The White House also reported that in 37 states, the average price has dropped below $3 per gallon. In 22 states, prices are under $2.75 per gallon, and in five states, they are below $2.50 per gallon. Some areas have seen even sharper declines, with Americans paying less than $2 per gallon at stations in at least four states. In Colorado, prices were recorded as low as $1.69 per gallon.

The White House added that during the Biden administration, prices initially rose sharply, even with the use of the strategic petroleum reserve. However, it claimed that during Trump’s second term, people spent the lowest share of their disposable income on gas in the past 20 years.

The statement focused heavily on gasoline prices but also noted that several recent economic indicators are positive. The government said this is good news for ordinary people and that further improvements are expected. The White House attributed these changes directly to recent policies.

The statement mentioned that rising spending, open borders, and energy policies during the Biden administration increased inflation and burdened families, but conditions are now improving. The Trump administration claims it will take all possible steps to provide relief to the public.

This report comes at a time when energy prices remain a major concern for American families ahead of the winter season. Petrol prices often influence consumer confidence and the government’s economic image.
