
New Delhi, May 20: Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, on an official visit to South Korea, paid tribute to the nation’s brave soldiers at the National Cemetery of Korea in Seoul on Wednesday. He laid flowers and honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
During the ceremony, Singh emphasized that the courage, dedication, and patriotism of these heroes will continue to inspire future generations. He reaffirmed India’s solidarity with the Republic of Korea in honoring the legacy of its valiant heroes and remembering their sacrifices. Notably, Singh is on a three-day official tour of South Korea. He is set to engage in extensive bilateral talks with South Korean Defense Minister An Kyung-Back. The discussions will review the current status of defense partnerships and explore new initiatives on military cooperation, defense industry, maritime security, technology partnerships, and regional stability.
Additionally, the two sides will exchange views on shared regional and global issues. This visit, which began on May 19 and will continue until May 21, aims to strengthen defense cooperation, strategic partnerships, and coordination in the Indo-Pacific region between India and the Republic of Korea.
Singh’s visit is considered significant in the context of the strengthening strategic and defense relations between India and South Korea.
