It is recommended to practice this asana on an empty stomach in the morning, as it activates the digestive system.

Physically, Malasana strengthens and enhances the flexibility of various body parts. It fortifies the muscles of the buttocks, thighs, calves, and hips, while also alleviating stiffness in the hips, lower back, and ankles. This asana is particularly helpful in relieving the stiffness that often results from prolonged sitting.
For pregnant women, it is considered an excellent exercise for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. However, it is essential for them to consult their doctor before practicing this asana.
Individuals with severe knee, ankle, or lower back pain should avoid this pose. It is also not advisable for those who have recently undergone surgery in the abdomen or hips.
