Authorities have declared a house in Canley Heights a crime scene, located approximately 30 kilometers west of Sydney’s central business district.
According to news agency Xinhua, citing the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the incident is believed to be linked to organized crime networks.
Detective Superintendent Craig Middleton stated that police are searching for two men who entered the house around 8:20 PM, shortly before multiple gunshots were heard.
The crime scene has been established at the house on Arbutus Street in Canley Heights. New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon revealed that homicide squad detectives have also seized two vehicles used to transport the injured individuals to the hospital.
Reports indicate that since the beginning of the year, the western suburbs of the city have experienced gang warfare, with rival gangs involved in ongoing shootings and arson attacks. These assaults often target properties and businesses associated with gang members.
