Dhaka, 2 January: The Indian cricket team will tour Bangladesh in 2026, playing both ODI and T20 series. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Friday that Bangladesh will also host Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia, and West Indies for bilateral series across all three formats in the same year.
Originally scheduled for August 2025, India’s tour of Bangladesh was postponed to September 2026 due to political unrest in the country.
According to the new schedule released by BCB, India will arrive in Bangladesh on 28 August. The ODI series will begin on 1 September, followed by the second and third ODIs on 3 and 6 September respectively. The T20 series will start on 9 September, with matches on 12 and 13 September completing the series.
Prior to India’s visit, Pakistan will arrive in Bangladesh on 9 March for a three-match ODI series to be played from 12 to 16 March. New Zealand will tour Bangladesh from 17 April for three ODIs, followed by three T20 matches between 27 April and 2 May.
As part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle, Pakistan will return on 4 May for two Test matches scheduled from 8-12 May and 16-20 May. Australia’s white-ball tour will begin on 5 June with three ODIs, followed by a three-match T20 series from 15 to 20 June.
After hosting India, Bangladesh will play a two-match Test series against West Indies. This will include a three-day warm-up match from 22-24 October, with the first Test from 28 October to 1 November and the second Test between 5 and 9 November.
Additionally, Sri Lanka ‘A’ team will tour Bangladesh in May 2026 to play two four-day matches and 50-over games against the host ‘A’ team, as confirmed by the BCB.
