Gandhinagar, March 13: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel assured on Friday that gas cylinders will be available to everyone on time. He emphasized that despite the current global situation, there is no shortage.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing farmers during the state-level event of the PM-Kisan scheme. He urged the public not to spread rumors regarding LPG supply and reassured that those in need of gas cylinders will receive them without any hassle.
He stated that the prevailing global conditions do not pose any issues. Anyone in need of gas will receive it, and no one should propagate false rumors. Gas cylinders will be delivered on time to all.
Patel spoke at an event marking the release of the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Under this initiative, the central government has directly transferred ₹2,000 into the accounts of eligible farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this installment from Guwahati, transferring over ₹18,640 crores into the accounts of more than 9.32 crore farmer families across the country. In this latest installment, approximately ₹1,028 crores are expected to be credited directly to the bank accounts of around 49.59 lakh farmer families in Gujarat.
While discussing the scheme, Patel noted that whenever an issue concerning farmers arises, the Prime Minister has worked with utmost sensitivity since his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He highlighted the challenges of farming without water and emphasized the crucial role of the Narmada canal network in delivering water to remote areas of the state.
CM Patel also mentioned the supply of electricity for agriculture and homes. He stated that efforts have been made to ensure the supply of necessary electricity for farming and households. He revealed that Gujarat has taken the initiative to provide round-the-clock electricity, and now nearly 96 percent of farmers in the state receive electricity during the day.
