
New Delhi, May 20: Good news for candidates seeking employment at the Central Bank of India (CBI). The bank has announced an extension for applications for 15 Assistant General Manager (AGM) positions in the fields of risk management, finance and accounting, and credit. This announcement follows an official notification from CBI’s Human Resources Management (Recruitment and Promotion) Central Office.
Among the 15 vacancies for the AGM role, there are 2 positions in risk management, 1 in compliance/risk management, 1 in asset-liability management, 1 in digital risk and analytics, 5 in finance and accounting, and 5 for credit officers.
The online application process commenced on April 30, with the original deadline set for May 17. However, candidates who missed this deadline now have another opportunity. The bank has extended the registration deadline to May 25, allowing applicants to submit their forms via the official website.
Candidates applying for the risk management and compliance/risk management positions must possess a full-time B.Sc. in statistics or economics, or a graduate degree in analytical fields (statistics, applied mathematics, operations research/data science). Alternatively, a full-time MBA in finance, banking, or a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) or Integrated Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (IPGDRM) from an AICTE/UGC recognized institution with a minimum of 55% marks is required.
For the asset-liability management position, candidates should have a BE/B.Tech degree or a postgraduate diploma in business management, banking, finance, or be a Chartered Accountant. Those applying for the digital risk and analytics role should have a degree in mathematics/statistics or a full-time BE/B.Tech in data science/IT/computer science/software engineering.
Candidates for the finance and accounting position must hold a graduate degree and proof of passing the final examination conducted by ICAI, along with registration as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. For the credit officer position, candidates must have a two-year full-time postgraduate degree from a recognized university/institution/board in fields related to Chartered Accountancy/Chartered Financial Analyst/CMA-ICWAI or banking/finance/credit.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 33 years, while the maximum age is 45 years, calculated as of March 31. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on an online exam, interview, and document verification. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹120,940 to ₹135,020. The online test and interviews are expected to take place in June.
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹175 for SC/ST/PWD and female candidates.
To apply online, candidates should visit the official website of the Central Bank of India. After reaching the homepage, they should click on the active application link for the relevant position. Following this, they can register and log in. Candidates must fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, they can submit the form. Finally, candidates should print a copy of the application for future reference.
