Jodhpur, September 16 (Patrika English News). A case of fraud has come to light in the Pre-D.El.Ed Examination 2025, where the original candidate arranged for a dummy candidate to appear in his place. The fraud was exposed after the deal between the two broke down due to poor exam results.

According to Station Officer Balwantram, the exam was held on June 1 this year. The original candidate, identified as Sonu Kuntal, allegedly allowed Hariom, a resident of Atroli village in Diholi, Dholpur district, to appear in the exam on his ID. They had agreed on a deal of ₹23,000, of which ₹500 was paid in advance.
However, when the results were declared, Sonu Kuntal scored only 375 marks, which was insufficient for selection in any college. Moreover, Hariom did not share the answer key with Sonu as promised. As a result, the remaining payment was withheld, leading to the dispute coming to light.
Police investigation revealed that the exam centre was at PG Maharani Girls College, Dholpur, where Hariom appeared using Sonu’s credentials. It also emerged that Hariom himself is preparing for competitive exams and had earlier attempted constable exams.
Since the matter falls under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station, Dholpur, the FIR filed in Jodhpur has been transferred there for further investigation.
