
New Delhi, May 14: Securing a job at a central university is a dream for many across the country. If you are among them, a unique opportunity has arisen.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has officially announced the recruitment of two Research Assistant positions on a contractual basis under the project “Empowerment of Assam’s Tea Tribes through Digital and Non-Digital Skill Development Programs.”
Candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview, document verification, and other stages. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000.
Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in any social science subject from a government-recognized institution or university, with a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, candidates must have either NET, MPhil, or PhD qualifications. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of the Sadri or Assamese languages.
The walk-in interviews will take place on Thursday, May 21, starting at 1 PM at the “Dean’s Office, Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.” Candidates are required to report by 10 AM at the designated location. Those attending the interview should arrive on time and bring both original and photocopied documents.
Successful candidates will initially be appointed for one year, with the possibility of extension up to 54 months based on periodic performance evaluations. Selected applicants may be stationed in Delhi or Assam, the project site.
