
Patna, June 1: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary congratulated Shubham Kumar for securing the top position in the JEE Advanced 2026 examination. The results were announced on Monday, revealing that Shubham, from the Delhi zone, scored 330 out of 360, achieving first place in the Common Rank List (CRL).
CM Chaudhary expressed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Shubham on social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Congratulations to the talented student Shubham Kumar for bringing honor to Bihar by achieving All India Rank-1 in JEE Advanced 2026.”
He further noted that Shubham’s relentless hard work, discipline, dedication, and exceptional talent have inspired millions of youth. The Chief Minister wished that this historic achievement would serve as a foundation for Shubham’s bright future.
Additionally, Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi also congratulated Shubham on his success. He remarked, “The son of Bihar has done wonders. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Shubham Kumar for securing All India Rank-1 in JEE Advanced 2026.”
He added, “Your unprecedented success is the result of tireless effort, unwavering determination, discipline, and exceptional talent. You have not only elevated the pride of your family and state but have also instilled confidence in millions of students across the country to dream big and achieve those dreams. May your bright future contribute significantly to nation-building.”
It is noteworthy that the JEE Advanced 2026 exam, conducted for admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), saw a total of 179,694 candidates participate in both papers on May 17. Out of these, 56,880 candidates succeeded, including 10,107 female students.
