Jabalpur Royal Lions Announce Team for MPL T20 Scindia Cup 2026

Jabalpur, June 1: The Jabalpur Royal Lions have officially announced their team for the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026. The squad features seasoned players like Puneet Date alongside key talents such as Ajay Rohira and Mihir Hirwani.

Ayush Lalwani from Jabalpur Royal Lions stated, “Our approach this season will be fearless. We have created a team that combines experienced players with talented youth, eager to prove themselves. There has been a lot of positive energy within the team from the start. The players are excited to play fearless and competitive cricket this season. The MPL has become a fantastic platform for cricketers to showcase their potential, boost their confidence, and create opportunities at a larger scale.”

The upcoming season of the MPL T20 Scindia Cup kicks off on June 3. MPL 2026 is set to be the largest edition yet, featuring 10 men’s teams and 5 women’s franchises.

In the opening match of the men’s tournament, Gwalior Cheetahs will face Ujjain Falcons. The Jabalpur Royal Lions will begin their campaign on June 6 against Indore Pink Panthers at Holkar Stadium.

The Jabalpur Royal Lions team includes: Aayam Sardana, Abhishek Bhandari, Ajay Rohira, Aakarsh Singh Parihar, Akshat Dwivedi, Akshay Sharma, Arpit Gaud, Mihir Hirwani, Nayan Raj Mewada, Pankaj Patel, Prince Vadhwani, Puneet Date, Rahul Batham, Ritik Tada, Ritvik Diwan, Sanjog Nijjar, and Vedant Awasthi.

Three new teams have joined the men’s competition: Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles. They will compete alongside the reigning champions Bhopal Leopards and existing teams Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Gharials, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions, and Rewa Jaguars. In the women’s competition, Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles have been included, competing against Bhopal Wolves, Bundelkhand Bulls, and Chambal Gharials in this five-team tournament.
