Zee Acquires FIFA World Cup Rights for India, Launches Four New Sports Channels

New Delhi, June 1: The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to kick off on June 11, and Indian fans will be able to watch it on the Unite8 Sports channels and Zee5. Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has secured media rights for this major event, including the FIFA World Cup 2030, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, and other significant FIFA events through 2034.

To enhance the viewing experience for sports fans, Zee has announced the launch of four sports channels: Unite8 Sports 1, Unite8 Sports 1 HD, Unite8 Sports 2, and Unite8 Sports 2 HD.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has stated that its digital entertainment platform, Zee5, will ensure that football enthusiasts stay connected with all the exciting action, allowing them to watch live matches in their preferred language.

The company remarked, “By partnering with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), we are emerging as one of the most powerful sports destinations for the youth of our country. This partnership brings the world’s largest football properties to the Indian market, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and 2030, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, and other key FIFA events and docuseries content.”

Zee will become the home of football, showcasing major FIFA events such as the FIFA Men’s Under-17 World Cup (2026-2034), the FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup (2026-2034), the FIFA Under-20 Men’s World Cup (2027, 2029, 2031, and 2033), the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup (2026, 2028, 2030, 2032, and 2034), the FIFA Futsal Men’s World Cup (2028 and 2032), the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup (2029 and 2033), the FIFA Women’s World Cup (2027), and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup (2026-2030). Additionally, the FIFA World Cup 2026 and 2030 will also be featured.
